Rankin Funeral Home is a full-service funeral home that has been proudly serving the needs of the Marion County area since 1967.

Charles E. Rankin purchased the C. L. McMackin Funeral Home from the McMackin family who were engaged in “Furniture & Undertaking” and had been established in 1865.  Original locations of the McMackin Funeral Home were the McMackin Furniture Store building and “the old Rainey home.”    

Rankin Funeral Home’s present facility, Tudor in design, was built in 1941 by C. L. McMackin II.  Mr. Rankin’s son, Edward S. Rankin, joined his father in 1978 at its current location which continues to offer a professional atmosphere suitable for the conducting of funeral services in a comfortable, “home-like settling.”  Myron S. Lloyd joined the firm as an associate in 1974.

Our staff offers both traditional and non-traditional funeral service options—each conducted in a dignified, compassionate manner to families in Salem and the surrounding area—and always committed to a “Heritage of Family Service.”
